The Perth Mint
Australian Lunar Gold Bullion Coins
Our Australian coins of choice
are from the Lunar Collection. Starting in 1996, these incredible coins
were minted to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which is a big event in
Australia. These uncirculated specimens are what is commonly referred to
as reverse proofs, that is the field is frosty and the raised areas
have a mirror finish. Truly artistic wonders.
Crafted from
pure 99.99% fine gold to the most rigorous standards of the Perth Mint, the
Lunar Gold
Series comprises the one, 1/4, 1/10 and 1/20 ounce coins. Please
note the 1/2 ounce size was not issued until 2004.
The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, by Ian
Rank Broadley, graces the obverse of the coin together with the face value
of the coin.
Uncirculated
Condition. Each
coin will be shipped with an Air-Tite plastic holder.
